And what is so special here? Well, the most remarkable for us Dutch is the price, sorry, the low price! Sometimes we should be ashamed of this way of thinking (Was it a nice holiday? Oh yes, it almost costed nothing! Did you like the food? Oh yes, it was for free etc.) but now it's a whole different thing! It's the low price and the high(-end) quality in sound. We even have a nice one for this kind of products: H.E.L.P.!® which stands for High End Low Price! And if people wonder why the initials L.P. or P.L. come back so often here, no, Lars has nothing to do with the design! At least not direct ...

The 17kg heavy ProLogue One integrated line-amplifier (28cm wide x 39,5cm deep x 19cm high) with 2 x 35W power (8 Ohms) uses high quality parts and is fully hard-wired (no pc-board). Following tubes are used: 2 x 12AU7, 2 x 12AX7 for the pre-amplification and 4 x EL34 in push-pull for the powerstage. The amplifier has 4 line-inputs and multi-tap outputs (4 and 8 Ohm). The input impedance is 65KOhm, input-sensitivity 300 mV, s/n-ratio 89dB. Tonal character is clean, smooth and natural.

Martijn Uijen: U kent dat gevoel misschien wel – de zoveelste upgrade, en weer mis. Sarastro galmt meer dan hij buldert, terwijl violen snerpend inzetten. Is het de opname? Dat kan niet: volgens de Gramophone Classical Good CD Guide zou Die Zauberflöte toch zelden zo mooi opgenomen zijn, met zulke prachtig sonore solisten en zulke honingzoete strijkers. De installatie dan? Uitgesloten, amice! De luidsprekers behoren tot de Spitzenklasse van Stereoplay, de cd-speler is er volgens Son & Image één sans pareil, en de recensenten van What Hifi hebben de versterker twee maanden eerder nota bene tot Best Buy en Supertest Winner uitgeroepen (vijf sterren plus een aanmoediging in de recensie zelf om zonder verdere aarzelingen te kopen). Boy Ballings: Een beetje snuffelen op de site www.hifi-notes.com leerde mij dat de techneuten van DÉ Hifiwinkel de zo voortreffelijke PrimaLuna ProLogue One nog eens extra onder handen hadden genomen. Eddy Hendrix: Enkele maanden geleden werd ik tijdens een high-end treffen in Edegem, aangenaam verrast door een smaakvol gepresenteerde opstelling die bovendien een verfijnde muziek ten gehore bracht. Ferry Kremers' PrimaLuna ProLogue One Tweaks review Part One: Onder het mom van "waar veel in zit, is meer uit te halen" ben ik al sinds dat wij de PrimaLuna ProLogue One in ons bezit hebben (zowel zakelijk als privé) aan het tweaken met genoemde versterker. Jeroen van Altveer's PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: Soy un cliente habitual de la tienda hifi "DÉ Hifiwinkel" en Eindhoven. Normalmente la visito los sábados por la tarde para ver si hay algo nuevo que ver en la tienda o si tienen nuevos gadgets para mejorar o adaptar mi propio equipo y para oír el último cotilleo hifi. Fue una de esas tardes cuando me fijé en algo interesante. Un nuevo amplificador integrado de válvulas, simple pero de diseño sólido y elegante. Un par de Sonus Faber Cremona estaban conectados al amplificador y por supuesto un lector de CDs "de la casa": un Njoe Tjoeb 4000. Me senté en una silla de la gran sala de audición con una taza de café y comencé a escuchar. Inmediatamente se hizo evidente que no era sólo otro bonito pero inconsistente diseño de válvulas. Este ampli manejaba las no tan pequeñas Cremonas realmente con autoridad. El sonido era bueno, detallado y con una presencia adecuada. Obviamente este era un amplificador con aspiraciones hiend. Jeroen van Altveer's PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: I’m a regular customer of the hifi shop "DÉ HiFiWinkel" in Eindhoven. I usually visit on Saturday afternoons to see if there are new things to see in the shop or if they have new gadgets to upgrade or tune my own set and to hear the latest hifi gossip. It was on one of those afternoons that my eye was caught by something interesting. A new integrated tube amplifier. Simple but solid and stylish in design. A pair of Sonus Faber Cremonas was hooked up to the amplifier and of course a CD player "from the house": a Njoe Tjoeb 4000. I tucked into a seat in the large room with a cup of coffee and started listening. What became apparent immediately was that this wasn’t just another nice but inconspicuous tube design. This amp drove the not so very small Cremonas with real authority. The sound was well behaved, detailed and with a proper soundstage. Obviously this was an amplifier with high end aspirations. hifi-branche een onbedwingbare nieuwsgierigheid om met een nieuw merk of met
nieuwe modellen aan de slag te gaan. Ik was enerzijds dan ook erg benieuwd toen
mij gevraagd werd de PrimaLuna ProLogue One aan de tand te voelen en aan de
andere kant ook enigszins sceptisch omdat het mij moeilijk leek om met de
genoemde prijsstelling van Euro 950,- te voldoen aan de kwaliteiten die het

Ferry Kremers' PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: ¡PrimaLuna Prologue Uno, o una buena máquina a un precio ridículamente bajo con un añadido único! Desde hace poco, nuestra gama de productos incluye una preciosa, chica y pequeña gran bestia: un amplificador integrado de válvulas llamado PrimaLuna Prologue Uno. Me refiero a un amplificador integrado de tamaño medio, equipado con 4 válvulas de potencia EL34, y con dos 12AU7 y dos 12AXT7 para el previo. Sobre el papel, este ampli ofrece 2 x 35 watios. Su chasis de metal está lacado en negro antracita. La placa frontal está hecha de grueso aluminio anodizado y tiene un control de volumen, un selector de entradas y una luz led verde. En la trasera del aparato hay cuatro entradas de buena calidad. No están disponibles ni "tape out" ni mando a distancia. Los terminales de altavoces y la toma de corriente también son de buena calidad. Las terminales de altavoces ofrecen conexiones a elegir entre 4 y 8 ohmios. Since recently, our product range includes a cute, small, and heavy little beast: an integrated tube amplifier by the name of PrimaLuna ProLogue One. I am referring to a mid-sized integrated amplifier, equipped with 4 EL34 power tubes, 2 AU7 and 2 AX7 pre-amp tubes. On paper, this amp delivers 2 x 35 Watts. Its metal housing is lacquered in anthracite metallic veneer. The front plate is made of thick anodized aluminum and has a volume button, an input switch and a green LED. On the back side of the device are four cinch inputs of good quality. A tape output and remote control are not available. The loudspeaker terminals and the power cord socket are of good quality as well. The speaker terminals offer a choice between a 4 and 8 Ohms connection. Ferry Kremers' PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: PrimaLuna ProLogue One, ofwel een prima apparaat voor een idiote (lage) prijs met een unieke bonus-mogelijkheid, waarover verderop meer! Sinds kort hebben wij in ons leveringsprogramma een lief, klein en zwaar monstertje van een geïntegreerde buizenversterker genaamd: PrimaLuna ProLogue One. Ik heb het over een midi-size geïntegreerde versterker die is voorzien van 4 x EL34 eindbuizen, 2 x AU7 en 2 x AX7 stuurbuizen. De versterker levert volgens de papieren 2 x 35 Watt. Het geheel is gehuisvest in een antraciet metallic lak gespoten metalen behuizing. De frontplaat is van dik zwart geanodiseerd aluminium waarop een volumeregeling, een ingangskeuze schakelaar en een groene LED te vinden zijn. Op de achterzijde van het apparaat vinden we 4 cinch ingangen van een goede kwaliteit. Er zijn geen tape-uitgang en geen afstandsbediening voorhanden. Ook de luidspreker terminals en de netkabel aansluiting zijn van een goede kwaliteit. De luidspreker terminals beiden de keuze tot het gebruik van een 4- en een 8 Ohm aansluiting. Jan van Hezewijk's PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: Esta historia trata sobre mi primera X-periencia con válvulas ... El otro día estaba curioseando por internet y mi navegador paró en hifi-notes.com. Vi algo acerca de un pequeño amplificador de válvulas que me hizo pensar ... estaba buscando un amplificador de 1250/1500 euros para mis monitores Tannoy Super Red. Siempre me dijeron que los utilizara con válvulas de vacío ... ni caso, porque estoy completamente fuera del jazz y la música clásica y el blablabla audiófilo: lo mío es el Break Beats / Trip Hop y Trance House. Así que sólo por curiosidad llamé a la gente de PrimaLuna a la tienda Dé Hifiwinkel en Eindhoven. Marcel me propuso ir a verlo y me convenció su experiencia con los monitores Tannoy Little Gold, D500 y antiguos Eaton, que tuvo anteriormente. Stefan Krawzcyk: Soy uno de esos melómanos audio entusiastas que siempre miraba con añoranza los Jadis, Conrad Johnson y Unison Research de este mundo, sólo por mencionar algunos, sin tener la valentía de comprarlos. A menudo oía con añoranza buenos amplificadores de válvulas en alguna tienda, pero siempre acababa gastando mi presupuesto para audio en apuestas seguras sobre transistores. Después de años mejorando, intercambiando y experimentando, ahora soy el feliz propietario de algunos bonitos componentes de marca: Theta, Krell, Transparent y Sonus Faber (no hace falta decir donde compré todo esto, en Hifiwinkel, claro). En mi sala de escucha, con un sonido bastante vivo, mi sistema, conjuntado cuidadosamente, suena realmente bien y, antes que sumergirme en un equipo de HT cine en casa 5.1 con SACD/DVD-A, prefiero disfrutar de la música con un estupendo sonido en estéreo. ben één van die muziekliefhebbende audio-enthousiastelingen, die altijd met
verlangende ogen naar de Jadissen, Cary’s, Conrad Johnsons en Unison
Researches van deze wereld heeft gekeken zonder de moed te hebben om er helemaal
voor te gaan. Vaak luisterde ik met hongerige oren naar goede buizenversterkers
bij mijn dealer, om vervolgens mijn audio-daalder toch maar altijd weer in
risikoloze transistorprodukten te investeren. Na vele jaren van upgraden,
inruilen en ‘tweaken’ ben ik nu de zeer gelukkige eigenaar van behoorlijk
goede apparatuur van Theta (Data Basic II/DS Pro basic IIIa/Dreadnaught), Krell
(KRC-3), Transparent (Reference en Super) en Sonus Faber (Guarneri). Drie keer
raden bij wie dit alles is aangeschaft ...... Deze zorgvuldig samengestelde set
klinkt werkelijk uitstekend in mijn nogal levendige luisterruimte en ik geniet
dan ook voorlopig van kwalitatief hoogwaardige stereo muziek, in afwachting van
de toekomstige aanschaf van een volledige 5.1 surround set voor DVD-A en SACD. Klik

longing eyes at the Jadisses, Cary’s, Conrad Johnsons and the Unison
Researches of this world (just to mention a few) without having the guts to go
all the way. Often I listened with yearning ears to good tube amplifiers at my
dealer’s but I always ended up investing my audio buck instead in safe
solid-state bets. After years of upgrading, trading in and tweaking I am now the
very happy owner of some pretty good stuff from Theta, Krell, Transparent and
Sonus Faber (needless to say where all of this was bought). In my rather lively
mid-size listening room my carefully assembled system sounds really great and,
before going all the way with a dedicated 5.1 surround SACD/DVD-A set-up, I

Stefan Krawczyk's PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: Je suis un de ces enthousiastes de la haute fidélité qui a toujours bavé devant les Jadis, les Cary, les Conrad Johnson et les Unison Research de ce monde (juste pour mentionner une poignée) sans pour autant avoir le courage de passer à l’acte. Souvent, chez mes revendeurs de hifi, j’écoutais d’une oreille pleine d’envie certains de ces excellents amplis à tubes mais je terminais toujours par choisir la voie sûre en investissant mon budget audio dans des produits à transistors. Après plusieurs années d’améliorations, d’échanges et de chipotages je suis actuellement le propriétaire d’un ensemble d’excellents appareils et accessoires de Theta, Krell, Transparent et Sonus Faber (je ne vous fais pas dire où tout cela a été acheté). Même dans ma pièce d’écoute de taille moyenne et avec une acoustique assez vive ma chaîne a un son vraiment très bon et donc, avant de me lancer complètement dans un système multi-canal 5.1 avec SACD et DVD Audio, je déguste jusqu’à nouvel ordre ma musique en stéréo de grande qualité. Marcel van Overbeek's PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: Cuando visites nuestras tiendas no puedes olvidar el pequeño (de tamaño) amplificador sobre el que voy a escribir. Me refiero al nuevo amplificador integrado de válvulas PrimaLuna Prologue Uno. Es un diseño de tamaño medio con válvulas de potencia tipo EL34 (dos por canal) que ofrece ¡43! watios a través de sus conexiones para altavoces (según midió nuestro Marcel Croese con una carga de 8 ohmios). Las válvulas utilizadas para el preamplificador son tipo ECC83 y ECC82. Todas las válvulas tienen su origen en Rusia y destacan por su muy buena relación precio/prestaciones. Marcel van Overbeek's PrimaLuna ProLogue One review: When you visit our shops on a regular basis, you cannot have missed the small(-sized) amplifier I am going to write about. I am referring to the new PrimaLuna Prologue One integrated tube amplifier. It’s a "half-size-wide" design with EL34 power tubes (two per channel) pushing 43 (!) watts through its loudspeaker terminals (as measured by our Marcel Croese at an 8 Ohm load). Hace ahora tres meses que Koos Boshoven, de la tienda HiFiShop de Tilburg, me mostró el nuevo amplificador de válvulas PrimaLuna ProLogue Uno. Como siempre, simplemente lo puso a funcionar y me dejó sacar mis propias conclusiones, sin tratar de influir en mi opinión. Y ... sonaba estupendo en la tienda (junto al lector de CD Njoe Tjoeb con upsampler, altavoces Vienna Acoustics y muchos otros como Sonus Faber, ProAc y, según mis requerimientos, cables Transparent).
