UPS shipping damage

Please, do only accept undamaged cartons. We use a second carton to protect your AH! Njoe Tjoeb 4000. Excuse us for the use of some styrofoam packaging-material, but you can be assured that we did not buy it, we simply use it again and again and again.

It is very important -well actually more than important- that in case you suspect that your shipment could be damaged, to show UPS on delivery why you suspect so and open the carton while the UPS man is still there. Inspect the carton very, very well. Maybe the carton itself is not really damaged, but was a heavy load fallen on the carton. You can see in most cases if such hast happened. So in that case you have to open the carton while the UPS man is still there, have a carefull look and connect the cd-player to AC to control if there is or is not any damage. These instructions have been given to us by UPS itself. Don't feel bad if UPS is in a hurry, it is to protect yourself! Whatever you find as damage has to be written down at the delivery of the carton. If that's not possible, simply refuse to accept the carton because of visible damage.

Well, if you declare damage, someone from UPS will show up to check the damage and to see if the quality of packaging was good enough. So never throw any packagingmaterial away! (Also if you have no damage: keep the packaging material in case you need to ship later to us or anyone else!).

If the carton has no physical damage and you find out after delivery that the cd-player is damaged, you have what we call: a difficult case. UPS can always state that maybe you dropped the cd-player while you unpacked it. And that's not of their business, as you will understand ........
