AH! NJOE TJOEB 4000 EXPERIMENTS / OPTIONS
From our experience with AH! Tjoeb '98 and '99 we have a number of options (same or slightly changed) which are also available in the AH! Njoe Tjoeb 4000:
Digital coaxial output. This is for practical use, not for soundquality reasons. It is available in a standard version and in a +version (with transformer). The standard version will be installed on all AH! Njoe Tjoeb 4000 cd-players. The +version (with transformer) will be installed upon request.
Internal AH! AC Noise Killer. This is placed direct on the AC input and its purpose is to clean the AC voltage at the beginning of the circuit. The advantage to do this internally is that the AC cable cannot pick-up any "dirt" after the filtering.
Exchange of the very (or better: very, very) basic standard AC cable. We are still experimenting to decide which cable will be our choice and how we are going to use it. It will be available too for installation on AH! Tjoeb '98 and '99 models. To Be Announced.
Replacement of the very basic standard Marantz feet with better quality, but affordable, feet. We have chosen for AH! TjoebSjoes (pronounce: tube-shoes). Listening-tests (and measurements to confim what we heard) made us choose these feet. Can also be installed on AH! Tjoeb '98 and '99 and cd-players, amps, tuners etc of other brand and model.
Adding (at critical points, but certainly the cover) damping material. We got best results until now with a highly special lead / barium coating we used in the past for our Record Interface Mat. Unfortunately it is no longer available on the market. We are looking for an alternative and a way to integrate full-topcover internal copper-shielding too! To Be Announced.
Adding a SuperCrystal to the AH! Njoe Tjoeb instead of the standard basic Crystal the OEM manufacturer uses works very, very well. It results in a further improved control of the bass and improved width and depth of the soundstage. All AH! Njoe Tjoeb 4000 cd-players will automatically get this option installed.
As soon as new options become available we will inform existing
Tjoeb owners and we will find ways to make the option available to all of them, wherever
they live. Of course you can do your own kind of modifications, but to keep the product uniform
we suggest to wait until an option (and the best way to install it) becomes available. If
for a modification a certain tool is necessary we will find ways to make it available.
